Introduction Being practiced in many different cultures, aphrodisiac is a legendary substance defined as any food or drug that could arouses the sexual desire and increases sexual pleasure with better performance for either male of female (Kotta et al. 2013). Aphrodisiac could trigger one’s sexual desire—libido, enhancing sex drive or sexual pleasure (Rajagopalan 2013). Active molecules crossing the blood brain barrier to promote sexual arousal through the central nervous system, which works as the regular mechanism of an aphrodisiac, according to several scientific studies (Sahoo et al. 2014).
